Plotting a Tiff file

Two raster plotting formats are already setup for us: PNG and JPG

.

If you are in a hurry to generate a TIFF file, an indirect approach is to make a PNG, then open the PNG in paint (Program Files>Accessories>Paint). There are some good reasons to favor PNG over JPG for acad files.

If, however, you seek to make several TIFF files from a particular workstation, you might rather set up.......

Plotting directly to TIFF

You'll want to start the plotter manager as if you were setting up a new printer.
This will show list of available plotters and allow access to the add-a-plotter wizard.

(For the rest of this process I'm only showing the most relevant screen shots involved)
This will be a "my computer" plotter.
Here is where we specify that this will be a raster plotter for format tiff. Make sure you used UNCOMPRESSED tif: Though the file size is larger, it is much more widely accepted.

You can default on the rest of the wizard; next, next.... finish.
Now when you go to plot, you'll be able to plot directly to TIFF. Make sure you slide the scroll bar far enough to see it.

It is also possible to RENDER to file; at least up to 8000pixels wide, but this is a very different process.
